Copyright and DMCA notices

Last updated: October 29, 2026

EduVistaHQ respects the rights of copyright owners. Parts of this site hold content written by other people, such as reviews, provider listings and message board posts. If you believe something on EduVistaHQ infringes your copyright, you can send us a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. section 512), and we will respond to valid notices promptly.

Where to send a notice

Email your notice to hello@eduvistahq.com with “Copyright notice” in the subject line.

What a notice must include

To be effective, a notice must be in writing and include all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (you may type your full name).
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. The address (URL) of the material on EduVistaHQ that you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it.
  4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Please be accurate. Under 17 U.S.C. section 512(f), a person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing can be liable for damages. If you are not sure whether something is infringing, you may want to speak to a lawyer first.

What we do with a notice

When we receive a complete notice we will remove or disable access to the material, and we will tell the person who posted it. We may send that person a copy of the notice, including your contact details.

Counter-notification

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notification to the same address. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. A description of the material that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed.
  3. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you agree to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district where we can be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

If we receive a valid counter-notification we will send it to the person who filed the notice. Unless that person tells us within 10 business days that they have started a court action, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.

Repeat infringers

We may end the accounts of people who repeatedly post material that infringes copyright. See also our Terms of Service.
