Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

EduVistaHQ (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates eduvistahq.com (the “Service”), a directory connecting families with local education providers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information: when you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password (stored securely, hashed, we never see it in plain text), and whether you're signing up as a parent/student or a provider/educator.

Children's profiles (added by parents): a parent can add up to five child profiles to their account. For each child we store a first name or nickname (we suggest not using a full name), the child's grade or class, and an avatar picture chosen from our own set (never a photo). We also store what the child does in our learning activities, so that progress can be saved and shown to you: which activities were played, the levels reached, how many answers were right, and a short practice history by the hour. If you use the Kids Schedule Planner or the STEM Projects, the events, notes and project progress you save for a child are stored with that child's profile. Children do not have accounts and do not sign in: a parent signs in and chooses who is playing. A parent creates and manages these profiles and can remove a profile at any time, which also deletes the progress, practice history, schedule events and saved project data stored for that child. Learning Roadmap orders you have placed are kept as order records.

Daily visit streak: for signed-in parents we keep the date of your last visit and your current and best number of days in a row, to show you an encouraging streak on your dashboard and home pages. The date is your own calendar day. We do not store which pages you opened or what time you visited. This is deleted with your account.

Where you live and (optionally) your gender: when you sign up or later in your account we ask which country you live in, your state if you are in the United States, and, as an optional question you can skip, your gender. We use the country and state to show you announcements and resources that fit where you live, and we use all of these answers only as overall counts to understand who uses the Service. We also keep the country your connection appeared to come from when you sign up, for the same counts. The counts never identify you, and we do not sell this information or share it with advertisers. You can change your answers in your account at any time.

Provider listings: if you register a business, we collect the business details you submit, name, category, description, zip code, contact information, hours, and pricing.

Reviews: when you write a review, we collect the rating, written content, and whether you indicate you were an actual client of that business.

Usage data: we may collect standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to keep the Service secure and working correctly.

Website analytics: on our general pages (for example the home page, the provider directory, parent resources, concept and formula pages, test prep and the India pages) we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google, but only if you say yes. The first time you visit, we ask. Until you click Accept, Google's analytics code is not loaded at all. If you accept, Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technologies and collects information such as the pages you view, the page address and title, the date and time of your visit, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (worked out from your IP address). We use this only as overall statistics, to see which pages are useful and to improve the Service. We do not send Google your name, email address or account details, and we do not use Google Analytics for advertising. Google keeps detailed event data for 2 months, and information tied to cookies for up to 14 months from a visitor's last activity. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of our pages. You can also opt out by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), by blocking cookies in your browser, or by using a content blocker.

We do not collect payment card information. Payments (once the Shop feature launches) will be handled entirely by Stripe, who will have their own privacy practices.

2. How we use your information

To provide the Service (create your account, show your reviews and listings, let you search for providers, save your children's learning progress and show it to you, and show your daily visit streak), to communicate with you (account confirmation, security notices), to moderate content (investigating reported reviews), and to keep the Service secure.

3. Sharing your information

Your name and review content are visible publicly to anyone using the Service, that's the point of a review. We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the service providers that operate our infrastructure (currently Supabase for database and authentication, Vercel for hosting), who process it only to provide those services to us. For website analytics, if you accept it, we use Google, as described in Section 1.

4. Children's privacy (COPPA)

Some parts of EduVistaHQ, including practice quiz features aimed at students, may be used by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Creating an account requires you to confirm that you are 18 or older (we do not ask for a date of birth), and children use our learning pages only through a parent's account. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without consent, contact us and we'll remove it.

We do not use Google Analytics, or any other analytics or advertising tracker, on the pages that children use: the Typing Lab, the English Lab, the Coding Lab, the Math Lab, the Learning Hubs (U.S. and India) and the learning games. Google's analytics code is not loaded on those pages at all. In the Typing Lab, what a child types stays in the browser on that device and is never sent to us or to anyone else. The English Lab does not record or send anything a child says or answers, and it plays voice files we recorded ahead of time. In the Coding Lab, the code a child writes runs inside the browser on that device and is never sent to us or to anyone else; the Python it runs is saved on our own site, so nothing is fetched from another company. In the Math Lab, the answers a child types are checked in the browser and are never sent to us or to anyone else. The Typing Lab, the English Lab and the Coding Lab save lesson progress, stars, streak days, badges and settings in the browser (so they work right away) and also in your parent account (so progress follows your child to a new device and is not lost when the browser is cleared). The Math Lab is free with a parent account and does the same with its own progress: which math facts are growing, minutes practiced, practice test scores, a list of questions to revisit, and settings. This is counts and dates only: it never includes what a child types, says, answers or codes. Resetting a child's progress in a lab, or removing the child's profile, deletes that saved copy.

5. Your choices
