Daily Brain Teaser
One fresh puzzle a day for the child's grade band, with hints and a gentle streak.
Daily Brain Teaser gives each child one puzzle a day, chosen by the date and the child's grade band: kindergarten to grade 2, grades 3 to 5, or grades 6 to 8. Puzzles include odd one out pictures, number clues, missing numbers, magic squares, logic questions, riddles and word puzzles, each with a few answer choices.
It works as a quick daily habit rather than a lesson, and there are no levels to climb. A child who solves today's puzzle reads a short explanation and sees a streak count, and can play bonus teasers if they want more. Missing a day is never a penalty: the page simply welcomes them back.
What children practice
- Spot the odd one out by shape, color, size or count
- Use number clues to find a mystery number
- Fill in a missing number or digit in an equation
- Complete magic squares and order things using logic
- Unscramble letters and solve riddle, rhyme and word puzzles
How it works
- Each child sees one daily teaser based on today's date and the grade band for their profile.
- Two hints are available, shown one at a time, and after three wrong tries the right answer is marked so the child can finish.
- A streak counts days in a row, is kept on the device being used and never punishes a missed day.
- The puzzle and its explanation have speaker buttons, and bonus teasers appear once the daily one is solved.
Best for: A good fit for kindergarten through grade 8 as a short daily warm up, or for a child who likes puzzles more than worksheets.
Tip for parents: Solve it together some days and ask your child to explain their thinking before tapping an answer. Talking through a wrong guess is often where the best learning happens.
Questions parents ask
Do all children see the same puzzle?
Everyone in the same grade band sees the same puzzle on the same date, so two children in the same band can compare answers at dinner. Each band has its own puzzles, matched to the grade on the child's profile.
How many different puzzles are there?
Each grade band has several hundred puzzles, arranged so that a puzzle does not come back for at least a year. Bonus teasers are drawn from the same collection, so a child can keep playing if they enjoy it.
What happens if my child gets one wrong?
The page encourages another look, and two hints are there if needed. After three wrong tries it marks the correct answer, the child taps it to finish, and then reads how the puzzle works.
